MEMBUAT KALIMAT PASIF

Rumus Dasar Kalimat Pasif : Subject + Tobe + Kata Kerja ke 3

Catatan: To Be bisa berupa; am/is/are, was/were, been/be/ being

Perhatikan berubahan bentuk TOBE dalam contoh-contoh berikut. Perubahan itu adalah karena perbedaan Tenses dan Subject. 

TERJEMAHKAN KALIMAT-KALIMAT BERIKUT

1. Simple Present Tense (kebiasaan sehari-hari/rutinitas)

Active                         : My mother waters the plants everyday.        > S + V1 (s/es)

Passive            : The plants are watered by my mother everyday S + am/is/are + V3

2. Simple Past Tense (dikerjakan di waktu lampau)

Active             : The government built the bridge last year.               > S + V2

Passive            : The bridge was built by the government last year > S + was/were + V3

3. Present Continuous Tense (dikerjakan saat kita bicara / sedang berlangsung)

Active             : The workers are painting the building          > S + am/is/are + V ing

Passive            : The building is being painted by the workers > S + am/is/are + being +

  V3

4. Past Continuous Tense ( sedang berlangsung di dalam cerita / sedang lampau )

Active             : They were decorating the stage when the lamp went off     > S+ was/were

  + V ing

Passive            : The stage was being decorated by them when the lamp went off last

   night. > S + was/were + being + V3

5. Present Perfect (menggunakan tekanan kata TELAH saat penutur berbicara)

Active : A thief has stolen her purse.                         > S + has/have + V3

Passive: Her purse has been stolen by a thief. S + has/have + been + V3

6. Past Perfect Tense (menggunakan tekanan kata TELAH di dalam cerita)

Active : We had sent the package before she came to the post office. > S + had + V3.      

Passive            : The package had been sent by us before she came to the post office. > S       + Had been + V3

7. Simple Future Tense

Active             : The company will build a new factory. > S+ will + V1

Passive            : A new factory will be built by the company.           > S + will +  be +V3

8. Sentence using MODAL Verbs (can, may, must)

Active             : They must clean the room everyday.  > S + Modal(must)+ V1

Passive            : The room must be cleaned by them every day. > S+ Modal + be + verb 3

Terjemahkan kalimat-kalimat berikut kedalam bahasa Inggris, kemudian rubahlah menjadi kalimat pasif.

1.      Pak Slamet biasanya mengunci pintu gerbang itu pada jam 07.15.

2.      Adik permepuanku mengerjakan PR-ku tadi malam

3.      Pak Jamal sedang membersihkan kelas kita saat ini.

4.      Bagyo sedang meminjam sepeda motorku ketika kamu meminta saya mengantar kamu  tadi malam.

5.      Para pemuda itu telah menghias panggung itu. Silahkan kalau Anda ingin melihatnya.

6.      Para pemuda itu telah menghias panggung itu ketika badai datang tadi malam.

7.      Bapak Mukhlish akan menghukum anak-anak nakal itu.

8.      Kita harus mempraktekkan pelajaran ini.
